ONLINE APPLIED CARBONATE SEMINAR

February 17th and 18th, 2021

CARBONATE PLAY DEVELOPMENT IN

MESOZOIC SEQUENCES OF THE U.S. GULF RIM

Influence of Physiographic Setting and Structural Controls

Jeffrey J. Dravis PhD,

Dravis Interests, Inc., Houston, Texas

Seminar Cost:  $850 USD/person

Registration Deadline:   February 12, 2021

I will be presenting an applied carbonate seminar that discusses the controls on the occurrence and distribution of conventional Mesozoic carbonate plays around the U.S. Gulf rim.  As lower commodity prices shift the focus away from unconventional plays, these types of plays may provide a good economical option.  This seminar has been given to industry and government clients, as well as local geological societies.  The last seminar was presented in December of 2020.

Please see the attached PDF file for a summary of the seminar, and more information about the topics covered and a registration form.  The seminar begins each day at 8:15 AM and finishes at 3:30 PM (CDT) on a ZOOM meeting platform.  There are coffee and lunch breaks each day, as well as shorter informal breaks.

An electronic version of the power point images, an extensive bibliography and other handouts will be sent to you upon

registration and payment. Number of participants is limited to 10.  Substitutions are allowed.  To register, complete the registration form and email back to me.

Please contact me at 713-819-4444, or jdravi@rice.edu, for additional information, or if you have any questions.

A version of this seminar is always available to be given to your office on a private basis, as well.

Cheers, and be safe, and Happy New Year!
