Abstract
Diving into the drivers behind the oil and gas A&D and M&A marketplace can seem like an overwhelming and tiresome task. At the same time, we know that the local O&G market is influenced by macroeconomic forces like government policy and global market fluctuations. Still, it isn't easy to understand or digest what market aspects we should focus on outside of commodity pricing. Richard has spent over five years working as a Geologist in the fast-moving and business-focused A&D sector, learning to distill the data and noise into salient points. During this talk, he will examine some essential questions and answers in a relaxed environment that encourages interactive questions. He will tackle questions such as the longevity and relevance of the O&G sector, how to identify the entry and exit points for O&G assets, and provide insight into what the next 1-5 years look like within the energy sector.
